She Screams In Silence

She screams in Silence
A Silence that is overpowering
This is not a Silence you or I know
This is a Silence inside Her

The sound reverberates around the closing void
It consumes Her grief, pain, and sorrow
Her screams constrict Her heart
The fly buzzes on the wall but She cannot hear it

Tears well up behind Her eyes as no one responds to Her pleas
She feels brushed aside; forsaken in Her time of need
The world passes Her by while She diminishes in Her dream-like state

Her cries are reduced to whimpers
She is serenly fading away
Devoured and controlled by the darkest shadows of Her mind
There is no escaping this Hell She is confined to

The darkness begins to enfold Her in it's leathery wings
She is cornered, ensnared in a web of poison thread
Fearful, She screams
But nothing can be done now
Her last chance is over because
She screams in Silence
